Married vocation and commitment

Team meeting
Married Vocation and commitment

1. Text for meditation : 2 Tm 4: 1-5

In the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who is to judge the living and the dead, and in view of his appearing and of his kingdom, I solemnly urge you: proclaim the message; be persistent whether the time is favourable or unfavourable; convince; rebuke, and encourage, with the utmost patience in teaching.

2. Personal reflexion

Let us take 15 minutes to reflect individually on the questions that have been suggested to us below.
The vocation of marriage, lived out in faithfulness to the Gospel, gives husbands and wifes the means not to be content with an inward-looking love, but one that is open to others:

- In what ways do we feel fully commited in our married life to serving our brothers and sisters in the Church and in the world?
- Let us share our experiences on this subject.

3. Exchange of views as a team

Please take time to listen to each other so that each person has an opportunity to express himself/herself

4. Concluding prayer of the meeting: Rm 13: 8-10

Owe no one anything, except to love one another;for the one who loves another has fulfilled the law.The commandments:‘You shall not commit adultery; You shall not murder; You shall not steal; You shall not covet’;and any other commandments are summed up in this word:‘Love your neighbour as yourself.Love does no wrong to a neighbour. Therefore love is the fulfilling of the Law.
