Bishop Jacques Perrier was born in Paris on 4 December 1936. He was ordained priest on 21 March 1964; Chaplain of Cep-Centre Richelieu between 1964 and 1969, he was appointed director of Cep in 1969 until 1979; auditor of the Institute of Advanced Studies of the Ministry of Defence (1979-1980); parish priest of Saint-Ferdinand-des-Ternes (1980-1983); director of Radio Notre-Dame, diocesan responsible for the cathecism and sacramental pastoral (1984-1990). He is appointed Assistant Bishop of Chartres on 22 June 1990. and was confirmed Bishop in the cathedral of Chartres on 16 September 1990 and became Bishop of Chartres on 7 April 1991. He was appointed Assistant Bishop of Tarbes and Lourdes on 30 May
1997 and took his functions on 1 July 1997. He became Bishop of Tarbes
and Lourdes on 18 January 1998. |
