| The Charter of the Teams of Our Lady |
|
The Charter of the Teams of Our Lady, published in 1947, is the foundation on which the movement is built. It is the fundamental reference document for couples who meet as a team, and who are part of the movement. The charter explains what each member is invited to attempt in order to live out his/her vocation to the full, as a baptised person who is married.
It recommends reading and meditation on the Word of God, as well as regular prayer. These methods help team members to deepen their religious consciousness, in order to adapt their lives better to the standards of Christ. The charter encourages the fraternal love and spiritual, moral and material support within the team. It explains the structure of this movement which gives couples strong support to live out their commitments and resolutions each day. |
Thought for Today

'Being on the road' means letting oneself be carried along by the events and by things without necessarily being able to make sense of them. ‘Taking to the road', in contrast, means opening oneself up to new demands because it implies the decision to start a trip, to think about the route to be taken, to experience the preparation time that brings alive the sensation of expectation and waiting, and above all, it allows one to realise that ‘being on the road' is our new state of being. This state of being creates different behaviour in us. It gives us new words to tackle everyday life in its little and large aspects and to look at the way history is unfolding around us and how we are actors within that history."
